The clubs and organizations in Harlem play an important role in making it a pleasant and vital city. Here are just a few of the active clubs in Harlem.

Harlem Woman’s Club

“Builders of a Better Community” under the leadership of the Georgia Federation of Woman’s Clubs.

The Harlem Woman’s Club is a woman’s civic organization that has been serving the Harlem community since 1925. Throughout the club’s history, it has fostered mutual counsel and helpfulness throughout Harlem. Meetings are held September through May on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 4:00 pm at the Harlem Branch Library.

Harlem Arts Council

Harlem Arts Council was formed in the fall of 2014. We are a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) educational organization. Our purpose is to offer the citizens of Harlem and the surrounding area a quality experience with the performing, visual and applied arts. Awana Clubs International

Awana Clubs International, is a nondenominational, Christian youth organization. Awana Clubs International sponsors clubs in local churches around the world. The purpose of the clubs is to encourage young people in social interaction, physical activities, and Bible study and memorization. Using a unique concept of four-team competition, variety in club programming, and a progressive system of achievements contribute to accomplishment of these goals for each clubber. The Awana program also offers uniform awards and trophies as clubbers reach successive plateaus of achievement.
